PreAP Summer Assignment:PreAP Summer Assignment0.pdf      World Maps.pdf

Retest: A student can retake one test per 9 weeks to attempt to improve their score up to a maximum grade of 85%. The retake must take place before the next test is given. The student must attend tutorials in order to be eligible for the retake.

Late Work: Daily grades-one day late results in a maximum grade of 70%, two or more days late results in a maximum grade of 50%. A zero is given if nothing is turned in.
Major grades-10 points off for each school day late with a maximum deduction of 50%.
Late work is accepted until the end of the current unit of study.

Make-Up Work:  Students will be given the opportunity to make up work missed due to any absence with the exception of truancy, i.e. skipping school. Truancy is the absence of a student from school without the permission of the student’s parent or guardian. It is the responsibility of the student to request and complete any assignment or test missed because of an absence. For any work assigned during a student’s absence, the student will be permitted one day for each day of absence to complete that work. Students who miss class for an approved school activity are to notify the teacher in advance concerning the possibility of completing any tests or assignment prior to the absence. Long-term assignments are due even if the student is absent on that day. Students should make arrangements to have long-term assignments turned in on the date due if the student is unable to do so because of an absence.

Final Exam Exemption:  A student may exempt four courses provided the following criteria are met:
        • Spring Semester must be 75 or greater, and average for both semesters for the course is passing (70)
        • 4 or fewer absencesfor the semester
        • Three tardies = 1 absence for exemption purposes
        • Present in class on the day of the final
        • Completed Exam Exemption Form on file
        • No ISS, DAEP (RA) or JJAEP
        • No suspension from school during the semester
        • All fines, textbooks, fees, fund-raising, uniform, etc. records must be cleared
NOTE: Students may earn a "BONUS" exemption in the Spring if they have no more than 4 absences in any class for the fall semester.
